Giving Thanks To Those Who Serve ~ Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!
LOVING MOORE Blog honors those who serve.

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down his life for his friends."~John 15:13

In the United States, Memorial Day is on the last Monday in May and honors Americans who gave their lives for their country in wars. When you barbeque with family and friends, watch a parade, or enjoy the fireworks, remember those who made it possible, the men and women in our military.

CRIMINAL MINDS Stars And Others Pay Tribute To Our Troops

Joe Mantegna, star of CRIMINAL MINDS, and Gary Sinise of CSI: NY, co-hosted the PBS National Memorial Day Concert, which paid tribute to our Troops past and present, and the sacrifices they've made.

Joe considers this the most important thing that he does all year. He had this to say: "The fact that I have a career and a good life is due to the fact that we have people in the military who've been out there protecting us."

The star-studded event included A.J. Cook, also of CRIMINAL MINDS , Lionel Richie, Katherine Jenkins, Blythe Danner, Brad Paisley, Yolanda Adams, Dennis Haysbert, and more.

This was Joe Mantegna's ninth year hosting the concert, and Gary Sinise's fifth. Thousands attended the event which was held on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

Loving Moore Blog salutes our men and women in the military, and the stars who came out to honor them.

SHEMAR MOORE ~ Celebrating The Tatts!

In Sunday's USA WEEKEND someone asked SHEMAR MOORE'S. tattoos are real or fake.

The CRIMINAL MINDS star had this to say: "They're definitely not fake." His first tattoo, a lion on his right shoulder, dates back to 2003. "I liked the idea of bringing out the lion in me, and the strongest part of my character."

He has since added his initials on his left arm, the word, "Freedom," on his lower back, what appears to be an angel or butterfly (?) between his shoulders. His most recently added body art is on his right leg.

Many avid SHEMAR fans would adore the opportunity to appreciate his artwork up close and personal.

SHEMAR portrays SSA Derek Morgan on the hit series, CRIMINAL MINDS, which will air the Season 5 Finale on Wednesday, May 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Network.

TV Guide Gives Us The Scoop On CRIMINAL MINDS

SHEMAR MOORE stars as SSA Derek Morgan

TV GUIDE ONLINE was asked about the upcoming CRIMINAL MINDS Season 5 Finale, which will air on Wednesday, May 26 at 9:00 p.m.ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

According to co-executive producer Erica Messer "this cliff-hanger relies on the drama of Morgan, our biggest, strongest hero, getting his power taken away. He will have to live with some pretty horrible things that happened on his watch, like gunfire during a citywide blackout." Messer promises, however, "you will know who got shot by the end of the episode."

Lackluster CRIMINAL MINDS Spin-off Picked Up By CBS

Word came down today (May 17) on CBS's new fall series. The CRIMINAL MINDS spin-off, which was generally disliked by MINDS loyalists when the pilot aired, has been picked up by the network. On April 7, an episode called "The Fight," introduced the cast of the new series, which is led by Oscar winner, Forest Whitaker. While Mr. Whitaker was a wonderful "Last King of Scotland," he does not have the charisma to be lead actor in a weekly series.

Also picked up for the 2010-11 season was the new HAWAII FIVE-O, based on the Jack Lord series of the 70's. Starring the very charismatic ALEX O'LOUGHLIN, this one looks promising. "Three Rivers," his quickly cancelled series from earlier this season, suffered from poor writing and a cast without chemistry. Alex himself was the series' one redemption. A native of Australia, Alex earned himself a solid fan base in the USA with the cult favorite series, MOONLIGHT, and his guest starring stint on "The Shield." Looking forward to this one.
