SHEMAR MOORE Featured Photo 1/22
John Hatchitt tweeted this photo last year when SHEMAR MOORE and Joe Mantegna attended a cycling event. John is one of the crew at "Criminal Minds" and a prolific tweeter of CM photos. He's a good person to follow for behind-the-scenes pics. @johnhatchitt |

THE WALK OF FAME.
This was tagged "JJ's last day." Happily, it did not turn out
to be, but it is sad to know that we will soon be seeing
a photo of Paget Brewster's last day. Will there
be a last day for Matthew Gray Gubler, too?
Hope not. Waiting for word on Matt's new contract.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Rachel Nichols at ESPY

Recently ousted CRIMINAL MINDS profiler, Rachel Nichols, looked stunning at the 2011 ESPY AWARDS held on July 13 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The event was hosted by Seth Meyers of "Saturday Night Live." The ESPYs (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly award) pays tribute to individual and team athletic achievement.
Also, Rachel recently was seen at the 2011 Shakespeare in the Park Gala in New York City at the Delacorte Theater on June 20, 2011. (bottom photo)
Nichols, who had a brief stint as rookie FBI agent, Ashley Seaver, has moved onto other things, since her MINDS contract wasn't renewed for Season Seven.
She has two movies coming out soon. "A Bird of the Air" will be released this Fall. "Conan the Barbarian" will open in theaters on August 19.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ SHEMAR and Cast Back to Work

Our SHEMAR at the table read on July 6.
SHEMAR MOORE, and the rest of the "Criminal Minds" cast and crew were back at work yesterday to begin work on Season 7 of the series. Spoilers have already begun to leak out.
The titles of the first two episodes will be "It Takes a Village" and "Proof."
We are told that the first episode will mark the return of Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), who isn't dead after all. We are told, also, that it was Morgan (SHEMAR) who discovered that Emily was still alive. As her partner in the field, we are anxious for Morgan's reaction since he was the person closest to her.
Thomas Gibson is back as Hotch.
Rachel Nichols (Ashley Seaver) has two movies coming out (Good for you, Girl!) but is no longer at the BAU.
JJ (A.J. Cook) is now a profiler, and the lovely Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) must tell Kevin Lynch (Nicholas Brendon) if she quit her job, buy a farm, and live happily ever after with him. We're betting she'll say no.
No word on what the writers have planned for Joe Mantegna's character, LOVING MOORE AND MORE favorite, David Rossi.
Reid, we hear, still has headaches.
With the Season 7 Premier date set for September 21, we only have to wait 75 days. AGH! Seems like an eternity.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Season 6 DVD Cover

Although Season Six of CRIMINAL MINDS hasn't been released yet, we obtained a photo of the cover. Nice to see that ALL of the stars are pictured, including Rachel Nichols, A.J. Cook, and Paget Brewster, despite their on again/off again status with the program. Interesting that SHEMAR MOORE, Joe Mantegna and Thomas Gibson seem to be featured most prominently on the new cover. Does that mean they are considered more important than Matthew Gray Gubler and the girls to the powers that be?
Just wondering....?
Release date is September 6.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Rachel Nichols Tribute

Rachel Nichols as Ashley Seaver on CRIMINAL MINDS
in "The Big Sea"
Rachel Nichols learned her contract with CBS wasn't picked up while she was on vacation. No one at the network had the decency to call her. According to her tweets, she found out like the rest of us, via the internet.
Nice going, CBS. You're all heart.
Many of us have been upset by the shabby way Ms. Nichols has been treated. One of the members of the LOVING MOORE AND MORE...Message Board made a lovely tribute video for Rachel reflecting the sentiments of her many new fans.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ More Good News/Bad News

The CRIMINAL MINDS "sisters" Kirsten Vangsness, AJ Cook, Paget Brewster

The bastard child ~ Rachel Nichols
With the breaking news that Paget Brewster will be returning to her role as Emily Prentiss on CRIMINAL MINDS, long time fans are rejoicing.
AJ Cook returned to the MINDS family in the Season Six Finale which aired on May 18. The BAU sisters are back together. They never should have been separated, but some idiot at the network got the bright idea to diddle with the program. We won't mention any names but we're pretty sure the initials are NT.
So who's the victim in all of this. Well, the fans who were attached to favorite characters and saw no reason for the "diddling" felt victimized.
And, pretty Rachel Nichols, a competent young actress who didn't do a damn thing wrong but show up for work, say her lines, and do her best with the CRIMINAL MINDS character as it was written for her. She did a good job when given something meaningful to do, and seemed to be developing a nice chemistry with Joe Mantegna and SHEMAR MOORE.
Unfortunately, Rachel caught the backlash from unreasonable fans who felt she was replacing AJ Cook. We were often appalled at the venom spewed at Ms. Nichols, who was never accepted and generally treated like a bastard child.
With the rehiring of Paget Brewster, Rachel Nichols is out of a job. She didn't deserve the way she has been treated and we wish her the best with her new endeavors.
Maybe they should diddle with some jobs at the network?
How about firing the programming idiot who screwed up our CRIMINAL MINDS in the first place, and then gave us that awful spin-off CRIMINAL MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR.
Hire someone smart enough to know that if something isn't broke, you don't fix it.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Stunning A.J. Cook
A.J. Cook, recently reinstated in her role as Jennifer Jareau on "Criminal Minds," looked stunning as she arrived at the after party honoring Joe Mantegna held at Kress in Hollywood on April 29. Joe was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony attended by several of his "Minds" castmates, included SHEMAR MOORE, Rachel Nichols, Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. The actress will be making her return to the series on May 18 in the season six finale.

CRIMINAL MINDS ~ Fans Don't Like Change ~ Rachel Nichols

SHEMAR MOORE and Rachel Nichols on the set of
"Criminal Minds"
"Criminal Minds"

Rachel as Agent Ashley Seaver
People don't like change and many CRIMINAL MINDS fans were upset by the recent cast changes. Some folks got downright hostile about A.J.Cook and Paget Brewster leaving the series.
Enter Rachel Nichols, a beautiful young actress hired to become part of the BAU. As an outstanding rookie agent (shades of Clarice Starling in "The Silence of the Lambs"), Nichols was to open the series to new story line possibilities. As Seaver, Nichols comes with an interesting backstory. She's the daughter of a serial killer. Also, she seems to have a special bond with SSA David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), although the details of that story hasn't been explored yet.
The actress, a veteran of two other TV series ("Alias" and "The Inside") seems competent enough, as demonstrated by the episodes where her character was centric. She has definite charisma in her scenes with Mantegna, but then, Joe makes everybody look good. We need to see more of her interacting with the rest of the cast to make a judgment about her chemistry with them. Sadly, we may never get the opportunity.
The word is that A.J. Cook is negotiating with CBS to come back to CRIMINAL MINDS and Paget Brewster may be back as well. We love A.J. and Paget, too, but what does this mean for Nichols? How many women does the BAU need on one team?
Oh, and the haters are salivating. They would like to see Nichols dumped. They acted like it was her fault that CBS decided to fiddle with the cast. They never gave her or her character a chance. Many of the remarks made on some CRIMINAL MINDS message boards and blogs were vicious. Some of us at LOVING MOORE were appalled at the way this actress has been treated.
Judging by her interviews and her "tweets," she seems like a sweet person. She hasn't deserved all of the venom that has been spewed at her. We don't know what lies ahead for her future with CRIMINAL MINDS, but we wish her the best with whatever projects she works on. Hugs, Rachel!
